tour this past Christmas-New Years season. Some of their performances were in second tier cities, in concert halls not accustomed to symphony orchestra, but they were met with packed houses everywhere they went.On another note, the Oberlin Conservatory which along with Julliard is the foremost "trainer" of classical musicians in the U.S. actually is responsible for the rise of conservatories in China...it was an Oberlin Conservatory graduate who founded the first eight conservatories in China. And the Conservatory in Ohio is getting an ever-increasing stream of Asian students.
