I don't have access to my music collection so I can't check this out myself. In the first movement there is a refrain that keeps returning throughout the movement. It's a nice theme that gives a sense of resolution to what went before. Actually it's a very nice theme--something that can get lodged in my brain long after I've heard it.I seem to remember a similar refrain in one of the later Mozart quartets--one that possessed some of the same emotional and structural qualities, and also the same tendency to replay itself in my mind long after it was over.
