I lucked into a complete(First, Second and Third Year) box set (LPs) by Jerome Rose on Vox (CD3X3004). Absolutely captivating, effortless virtuosity from start to finish with a bell tone like clarity.While I now undestand Rose is a recognized Liszt proficient I certainly had no idea when I grabbed the set in a thrift shop for pennies ... I now most definitely believe it deserves the appellation "Pennies for heaven".
It appears Rose is about to releasing a new cycle and the Vox cycle may have been re-released (on CDs) on Monarch Classics Records, althought I suppose that later set may also have come after the Vox as well, not sure.
