Head to local libraries. I'd be surprised if the larger branches don't have at least a 1000 classical recordings or so for you to sample. I'd say they would have plenty of Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, etc.Whatever you decide to buy, you can save lots on the used market utilizing ebay, gemm, amazon, etc. etc.
