I love browsing for records and CDs, but I realized that the last 5-6 times I'd been to Tower, I browsed for half an hour, then didn't buy anything because I knew I could get the items they had in stock cheaper, either on the 'net or from Borders, which frequently offers 20-30 percent discounts.Yep, Tower blew it. They would have been much smarter to start closing up their brick and mortar shops, and move their business online--plus keep a few big Amoeba-like super stores with deep stock in the biggest cities.
'Course that's all easy to see with hindsight.
