We had Cactus Records here in Houston. Not as big as Tower but probably ten times the size of the current Best Buy. It had a huge classical and jazz selection back in the 70's and was open until midnight. After a day at school and my job until 9 p.m. I could unwind for a hour or two, searching through hundreds of albums, buy one and go home to discover what I had.
I do like the amazing selection on the internet and the ability to sample first, but I miss the big covers and the hands-on hunt.
