Hiya....I picked up a Material CD, sorry, forgot the name. I'll check it (the name of it) tonight and another Bill Laswell. Can you give me the full name of the Zap Mama CD that you mentioned? I have been meaning to pick one up.
I was disappointed with my last trip to Amoeba, I picked up Groove Armada's "back to mine." That is incredible. But, Perfecto Chills Vol. 1 wouldn't play on my new CDP, Moby's Hotel didn't do it for me, and I positively hated !K7: somehow I thought that this was going to be like Kruder and Dorfmeister????

Going back to Amoeba tonight to try and recover from last weeks bad trip....
Mercan Dede and Orient Expressions, both from Turkey are pretty good, I think that I prefer the Mercan Dede. Also, the new 6 degrees release of Nijaz is pretty good. All 3 don't touch Prem Joshua's remixed, - "Dakini Lounge."
Maybe I'm getting burned out on Arabic flavored downtempo pop....
if you have to ask wha-iz-it, you ain't never gonna know
