Asleep By Dawn is a mag/catalog for Isotank Mailorder. Sign up for an almost bi-yearly free mag/catalog that has a sampler CD. Each sampler has caused me to buy 3 to 6 cd's each time. What makes Isotank nice is that they give little blubs about most items. What got me back in the gothic/darkwave/industrial genre in a big way was The Cruxshadows. See what I had to say at the following link where I was hoping to get a thread like this going! If there was one band besides The Cruxshadows that I'd like to shed some light on, it's Sunshine Blind and their CD 'I Carry You'. Some of the best females vocals I've heard and this gal can play the guitar too! While in the gothic/darkwave genre, there are more colorful than you may think. Very strong, at least the first 7 cuts. After the 7th and coolest (but certaily not most beautiful as others) cut, it's hard to top it soa good time to quit. 7 in a row is a damn good deal in my book.
The latest Skinny Puppy doesn't seem to cover any new ground :( That said, Nivek Ogre's Oghr project is cool with 'Welt' and 'Sonnysyop'. Is it just me, or is Kevin Cey's side projects boring or what? Solo stuff and Download don't get me going at all.
Projekt Records - very cool - see my comments in another reply in this thread.
GREAT FRIGGIN TOPIC, BTW!!!
