Classical Court From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here. |

I've been enjoying lurking this site for years and now it's time to to ask a few stupid questions.
Recently I upgraded my setup and was FINALLY able to put my CDP back in the system. I've been rediscovering several of the Classic FM Hall of Fame collection sets only to find out how awful the remixing process was.
Who ever remixed them decided to go nuts and make a point on the dynamic range. I have several of these recordings and there's NO way they The Lark Ascending goes from a whisper to blowing my windows out. Many of these collections are unlistenable.
I'm hoping to find a few recommendations for collection sets. What I'm looking for are quality recording that are easy and relaxing to listen too. And most importantly mixed with NORMAL dynamic range. No 10db flute solos followed by a 100db crescendo.
Please help me find a few nice relaxing quality sets. I'm not even that picky when it comes to styles or genres. Ah, maybe a little less on the opera side.
Thank you
