Isn't it pretty inappropriate to attend a concert, taking a camera with a long lens? As well as disrespectful to the artist, if I was sitting in the seat next to you, I'd be miffed too!We should surely be going to concerts to enjoy the music. There must be thousands of photos of Patricia Barber available on the net - hopefully free of copyright - for you to enjoy!
As a former professional photographer myself, I would never consider using a camera at a concert, nor even taking photos of anyone before asking their express permission, even if the performance isn't in a concert hall.
