thanks for the very useful perspective. although I used to play in a community orchestra, I had only ever considered tickets on the main floor.
mater of fact , I was never really serious about attending the symphony , it was always just a maybe one of these days thing, until I heard the L.A. symphony play some very difficult passages with astounding grace and precision during a one hundred year city of Los Angeles birthday party at the Hollywood bowl.
I philosopher once said to avoid any journeys that require new clothes, but I don't think I want to make the scene in my customary surfer Tee shirt and jeans, and my suits are all long term closet dwellers and are no longer suitable.
