I was more focused on the range of percussion treats soon to be enjoyed. It was the timpani that determined the highest SPL experienced. The floor was at about 31 db and for most of the program, the highest level was 95 db. At the conclusion of Symphonic Dances, it momentarily hit 98 db! Yes, this audio geek had my phone running Studio Six SPL meter sitting on my leg during the performance.
Wifey played French Horn in high school and loved the experience as well. She said this is where we should always get tickets!
