Way back in '74, as a student in Montreux (trumpet, audio, acoustics), virtuoso trumpet master Maurice Andre performed with the l'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Lausanne, a short 25 mile train ride away. Tickets were about SFr 35 - about $10 US. I didn't go, 'cause I was a "poor" college student. Still kickin' myself.
Ironically enough, my trumpet mentor at the time was Pierre Thibaud, who played 2nd trumpet next to Andre in Paris. Huh. :)
