When I was a Sales Engineer, my employer sent me to numerous training programs to be more effective. One focused on "demo crimes". You see these in practice all the time. I embraced avoiding the "So What?" flavor.
Shrinking an already size agnostic box serves no purpose to me. Nor really is increasing CPU power. The i5-8500B delivers > 400 Gigaflops or about 200x a Cray 2. In reality, so much of what I perceive as speed is I/O bound. That's where I find the faster access speed of SSDs and fiber internet valuable.
I guess I would see somewhat more of my monitor's stand if I were to replace mine with a new one. :)
