for you to shed 70's era optical disk technology limitations altogether as the benefits are numerous. Memory playback CD players were all the rage in 2007 but that time has long passed.
1. Improved sound quality.
2. Elimination of wasting time shuffling disks back and forth for every play.
3. Unified playback of all digital formats using the same gear. I have lots of higher quality 24 bit content along with some in MP3 as that was only choice.
4. Access to single digital library across multiple systems.
5. Ability to create playlists on the fly or choose random play across entire library to revisit old friends you've forgotten about.
6. Merge listening with both local content and subscription services like Qobuz.
I've enjoyed error-free memory playback for more than a decade across multiple systems.
