Hi, I am looking for a budget CD player (cheaper the better but I can strech upto $1000) with a coax digital output that can be used as a good transport. I am more concerned about transport mechanism than a DAC or the analog stage. I would like to use it as a base for clock upgrade etc.for the purpose of using it solely as a transport. I am looking into this because dedicated transports would tend to be much more expensive.I posted a smiliar thread in DIY fourm so my apologies for duplication to those who read than one as well.
Thanks!
