Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Yep, I had one...

back in summer of '99 I bought a DIP, MSB LinkDAC II and a Cambridge Audio CD-6 as a replacement for a 10 yr old Denon DCD-920. I had issues with the CA player after a while and the replacement was a refurb, however this being said, I think the DIP was a bit smoother in the chain. In the end, I sold off the trio and got a better Electrocompaniet EMC-1 and rather enjoyed that player until the SCD-1 came about.

You have extra cables, cords, grounding issues, etc., so the benefits should be quite profound to go through the hassle. Plus, it's a small box and doesn't really fit most racks w/o blowing up some real estate or faling off an edge.
