Thanks for your input Ted and that does seem to address personal preferences and to some extent the potential for an actual improvement as in jitter. I suspect that Im looking for some input from a tech or an engineer per se in response to what the tech at Lavry said. That being that a DIP is essentially an unnecessary and worthless addition to the chain. Although, as you mentioned using a DIP in a system w/a serious jitter problem should make an improvement I think. Maybe he was also making a case for the D-10. That its performance was so good putting a DIP in front of it was completely unnecessary.
