Vintage NAD CD player with external DAC

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I just found a NAD 505 CD Player at a thrift store that sounds very nice giving its age and limitations (it is a 1-bit player). Looking at the back, I noticed it has a digital coax out. How would the player sound if I used an external DAC like the Monica2? Am I better off staying with my Denon unit? Newbie needs advice.
