Re: quad CDP MkII (not CDP 2)

*but! i have to add this - considering that my current crap pioneer DVD player costs 24 times less the quad CDP, i can't say it did a job 24 times better.*
With high-end audio, the math never works out right and I'd say that higher you go up in digial, the return on investment gets smaller and smaller.

*ICs were again the cheapest 1$ no name cables you get with your 9.99$ plastic DVD player. even pre-active link is poor old kimber PBJ. no single audiophile thing.*
Whilst I am not going to endorse free cables that comes with a mass-marketed dvd player, it's wrong to assume higher priced cables perform better than less costlier ones.

*i will really start to believe in their marketing mantras - don't waste money on digital front end, buy 200 pounds denon player because you will need to spend XXXX$£ to improve things for a few percent.*
It's not the dollar you spent that counts. It's finding a kit that works together *for you*.
The source first dogma sometimes do not work, yet I do still believe that the right source will dictate the tone and presentation of a given system.
