Well, #3 has nothing to do with the transport and even theoretically there are are reasons why #1 and #2 are best served with a dedicated transport IMO.Whatever the theory involved, all any of us can do is relay our experiences with the practical applications and resultant sound.
In this respect, I have no doubts whatsoever about the superiority of the best dedicated transports over PCs.
