I would consider replacing the Rotel with a Cary 306/200. The Cary has 3V output and a great DAC. You could then replace the Legacy with a very inexpensive DIY passive. I just went to this setup, and am very satisfied, absolutely no compromise in bass or dynamics. It's making my listening to the same CD's a whole new experience.
