connector voltage 125 V vs 220 V

For the power cable i want to use the oyaide p-004 connector together with the oyaide R1 socket (from Japan). The spec for both is 125v. Where I live (eu), the voltage is 220v. I am asking if it is safe to use such a socket and connector here.
I am interested in this because in the EU, the price for oyaide p-004 is almost 3 times higher than in Japan. What do you think ?
