I guess I'd have the same problems but I diy'ed it so I know the thing inside and out. That doesn't mean I don't goober things up though. I was worried when yesterday's fix didn't work but I took a breather and went back to it today and found the problem right away and now it works. It was yet another solder pad that lifted from the pcb when I removed the old sockets. Some boards are made better than others.

Now that I'm good there I'm going to not touch the tubes or sockets again for a while. And also I'm going to just stick with these new "Valhalla" cables and just enjoy the newfound silence from the sockets.
