In the first half of the 1990s, we went through college, and liked XLO's original Reference series interconnects, digital cables, speaker cable, and even powercord.
But then, in 1998, XLO phased out their successful original Reference and Signature lines. The "Series 2" interconnects were a disaster, and XLO never recovered. XLO's late-90s demise overshadowed their decent powercords. On their dealer sheets, the powercords were on secondary pages. So I can't confirm what the prices were. But I did bring home a few of the Ref2 Type 10A powercords.
In 1999, my relatives from Hawaii came to my home in San Francisco. They brought with them Dennis Kamakahi's new album, Ohana. And as you learned from Disney's Lilo & Stitch, "Ohana means family." My main system "kept it in the family," and used XLO's Reference series cables. We listened to a wide variety of music, but check out Kamakahi's "'Ulili E."
We no longer have the Ref2 Type 10A's outer box and paperwork.
But after over 20 years, the Ziploc bag is still intact.
