at least, as far as I can tell with my 6 cu ft sealed sub. They cost all of $25 or so. No hum whatsoever, running 15 (maybe 20) footers from one side of the room to the other, behind a TV, parallel to the power line behind the wall. Plenty of lows and very solid, punchy bass. I use much more expensive stuff for the mains and between sources/preamp/monoblock amps, but it seems that these cheapies do all they need to do for the sub.
