Just received a new pair of IC's with Eichmans that wouldn't fit on the posts. Previous ones did.
Several archive posts that decry the need to heat the plugs.
I put the hot pin in and heated the plastic collar from about 6" away with my heat gun on high for a 15 count, then pushed. Just as advertised, went right on.
No problem.
