Well, I got the Furu male plug you mentioned plus the F11-Ag EIC connector. I installed them on the ends of the Jellyfish. I connected this cable to the 5-channel power amp(200wpc).I have only listened to CDs so far, but can't really say I notice a big difference yet. Maybe a little extra in the really deep bass. I'll give it some time. I'll be watching a movie tonight.
Another issue is that my current pre-pro is my Sony DA4ES receiver, which, first of all, is certainly not state-of-the-art, and secondly is only connected via its original 18awg power cord.
I think my next move will be to replace the Jellyfish cord with one of those big 10awg cords you mentioned.
