Gotcha. The finish is confusing, I'll admit.The outside jacket of the raw HD-14 cable I bought is indeed orange with a black stripe.
I just bundled the +/- runs together, with a slight twist, under FR clean-cut Techflex and put white (-) and red (+) heat-shrink over the three internal conductors that are then terminated into Furutech spades.
Basically, I finished the cable.
I hate to use spades and prefer bare wire, but the 3x14ga bundle wouldn't fit well in or around the binding post on the Gallos or my McCormack DNA.
Thanks for the input on the SA. I keep thinking that it's the way to go to get better visceral impact to the bass.
