Jon,
You are a maniac (that's a good thing). I am not a DIY'er at all. Are there folks who build your stuff for a price? And would that recipe be the same to drive my ATC's from my preamp (600 ohm into 10k ohm, 12-15 feet pairs)? Also, is there an email or phone number (preferred, cuz too many variables to email about) I can chat with you about an interim issue (my current preferred pre, to be replaced with new model) has no balanced and my rca-xlr config to ATC's has horrrible ground loop or buzz or something. I've tried ground straps from ATC chassis to unused rca inputs, I've tried an XLR adapter that lifts pin 1 (I think...it's called a ground lift adapter). Cheater plugs on the ATC's power work perfectly, but I cant sleep at night with that config. Jensen transfromers would likely work fine, but this is probably a less-than-6 months issue (until balanced new model). In the meantime I use my other pre, bryston SP2, which is balanced...but not as good. Jon, my email is tedmbrady@ameritech.net. I tried sending you an email but it came back.
Thx
Ted
