yup, and at $1 per (australian, no less?) even reissues would be a huge bargain.
but this was way beyond my wildest expectations. It actually worked out to 71c per lp as I got 140 lp's for $100.00. These did not include the three AC/DC lp's nor the Pink Floyd lp which cost an extra $50.00. All in all a great day. All I need now is for the 200 jazz 78's deal to come through. Another week before I will know. Here's hoping.

as I am not a collector in the true sense of the word. I just love to experience the music of individual artists just to see what they can do to me. Also picked up about 5 Blood Sweat and Tears lp's so that will bring back fond memories for me. Talk about the time machine that was mentioned in the post on AA a few weeks ago. Looks like I had better stock up on some cleaning fluid as I have a busy time ahead of me. The stack of lp's that need cleaning is piling up faster than I can clean and there is a record and collectors fair next weekend. Better stay away from that.

...the music is what matters the most. if i want access to the music and can only find it on CD, then i will go for that.that said, if i can get it on LP, i will -- and if i can get an earlier pressing (i those cases where i've found earlier pressings sound better), then i'll strive for the best pressing. the content matters most, but when i can get better sound, too, i take it. :)
1st pressing fron 2nd, 3rd and so on. I must agree with you on the earlier 200grm pressings sounding better in most cases than the later re-releases. Also minor scratches have no sonic effect as the stylus rides through them but not so the case in later flimsy frisbee releases.

you asked a question about your 3 sounds find above. if you get back to me with answers to those questions, i can give you some information.
