...it's a lot more pleasant to listen to clean records.
I generally don't clean new LPs fresh out of the shrink wrap, but enough of the used records I've bought have needed a good clean, myzzle just clean all the used rekkids.
The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.

Here is one fresh out of the shrink wrap after running a brush around a few times!
is there a reason why you don't sweep the brush off the record surface exiting the sweep off the outer edge instead of 'lifting' it off?
the way you took a picture of the P.F. record it shows you just lift it off leaving the dust line...
it takes a little practice but it's more proficient. Sometimes I do it twice depending on dust amount/new record/sleeve crap etc

...the RSD reissue of a Johnny Thunders album had so much static charge I thought I was going to have to cut the paper inner sleeve off.
But it still brushed clean.
Only occasionally have I found the need to clean a brand new record.

IMO, unless you brush it around with a CF brush you won't realize how much dust there can be distributed across the surface. This is especially true for used albums that have accumulated a lot of fine dust that is not so apparent until see it a lined up!
