RE: Any trackers out there?

How soft was the soil? The softness of the soil, the size of the print, the number of toes, the shape of the "heel" (whatever it's called) and the depth of the print are all clues.

Search Google for "animal paw prints", and you'll get more results than you have time to read. Also, your local Animal Control people might know.

Based on my armchair casual thought, I'd say it's definitely either a pooddy-tat or a grizzly bear. Maybe cougar or mountain lion. But I doubt if it's a leopard or cheetah. ;) Could even be a large dog. But probably not a leopard or cheetah.
