Why Almighty US didn't make Ukraine it's most cherished Ally investing billions and transforming the country back in the 90's? Russia was on the verge of collapse and all they could do at that time was to grind their teeth. But NO! We needed Ukraine for the time when Russia got on their feet, rebuilt the army and started to re-assert itself into a regional superpower.
Only then we displayed DEMOCRACY banners and promised them Ukrainian deplorables the riches of the West. For a small price of admission of course.
