oyster stuffing and turkey is just a delicious flavor pairing. Some foods are like that.

the reason I say this is from my days as a sailor, where there were culinary preferences from all over, along with cooks from all over the place. yet for thanksgiving, it was a single choice on every ship I sailed, turkey with oyster stuffing. it was just considered the best, a people's choice. of course, two or more other meats were served, as the contract stipulated.

just offering some food for thought to those who are deep into cooking, as I doubt the stuffing is on the table in most homes. I once passed on the suggestion to one of the ladies who lunch, and she agreed, it was her best ever dressing.
