Roy Scheider drove one in The Seven-Ups. One of the all time great movie chase scenes. Better than the one in Bullitt, you ask me.
My first brand new car was a '78 Malibu. GM downsized the Malibu for '78, it was something like a foot shorter and 700 pound lighter than the '77. Better looking, too.
I stupidly traded it in on an '81 Subaru that was crap. Seriously. It's a wonder that Subaru ever survived in the US market. Probably if not for AWD, they'd be one of those Japanese brands no one here remembers, like Daihatsu.
