Return policies and lack of payment options can totally screw you on eBay. All a buyer has to do is claim the item is not as described, and eBay will allow the item to be shipped back at the seller's expense. That's true even if the seller says "returns not accepted" in the description. Then there's the mandate to use Paypal, which is of course owned by eBay. You can't protect yourself by requiring a money oder or cash/check for payment. The bottom line is that eBay is OK if you 're selling something that's cheap, but it's a huge risk to sell anything substantial that you care about.
