Inmates
I have a older Sony CDP 707 ESD from the mid, late 80's that got pretty good reviews and was what I considered rather expensive back then.
Apparently the laser is fairly rare now and as expensive as the complete unit was then.
When the cd player is not playing, do I need to turn the player off to conserve the life of the laser, or can I leave the unit powered up, play a tape and then play cd again with out wasting laser life?
I think the simple question is, does the laser stay on when the unit is on and not playing?
thanks for your input.
