I am going to see if the seller will allow local pickup. If he does, Sarasota is less than 1 hour away so I will give them a try.

You recommended changing the caps in the speakers. Have you ever changed the tweeters, and if you have, what were the results?

I originally was hesitant due to the units using cone tweeters.
