MAC 5100 noise (static) in right channel

Evening,
So I'm thinking maybe the amp section; when I turn up the volume all the way it gets a little louder. Pretty quiet when I first power it up - it takes 20 minutes or so and then I can hear the static accross the room.
I'm buying a 'scope - thought this would be a good time to learn how to use it.
Any thoughts?
