Re: no response on radio road re Yamaha CT 1010

Maybe because since you stated you are not handy, the obvious remedy is to pay someone else to fix it? While I know how to tackle my homes' electrical & plumbing problems, overhaul my lawnmower, paint my house, change lubricants & filters, tune-up, & rotate tires on my automobile, & am comfortable diagnosing & repairing vacuum tube or transistor audio circuts, & have basic multi-meters to aid such work, I'd never attempt DIY tuner repair beyond a simple dial re-string. IOW such repair is not the project for a beginner to learn on. If you liked it when it did work, having it repaired is sensable. Or you could do as I have & acquire several tuners so when one does fail, one of the others can be substituted. You've read the fmtunerinfo pages; select a repairman from those recomendations. Since you live in So.Cal. & are close to very large metro areas, you have local repaireman options not so convenient to many of us. Good Luck.
