Hi all:
Caught a glimpse of a pair of infinities on the side of the road- sho 'nuff they had the emit and dome mid, both in great shape. The woofers needed refoam- so I called orange county speaker repair, got new surround kit. http://www.speakerrepair.com/OCSrekit.html
Some foam, some steel wool and tung oil finish, and they're lovely like new. FWIW, the ones in the link aren't mine, they're from the infinity-classics site. I'll post some pics of my specific ones sometime soon.
Short version- they sound great, and were well worth the effort. The bass is particularly good.
Disclaimer: I'll probably be selling these off in the near future, too many speakers in the house already, but that's in no way a reflection on their quality- they're great!
