Get a Fisher Tube amp, 500C, 800, or 400. $500 will get you one in really good shape, $150-300 will get you a fixer upper. You will end up with an amp that has top notch transformers, sockets, chassis, and knobs that are solid and smooth. These things are truly works of art and built like a tank. Oh by the way...they sound amazing.
