Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Thanks for the beer!

Hey Al,
'Twas nice to meet you and put a face to a 'name'

Seemed like most folks were having a good time. Clearly lots of *really* old radios. Not so much audio stuff. I did spot 4 different HF-81 amps, including yours. Saw a couple of Scott and Fisher receivers. Missed the Altec triodes (woulda been interested in 'em). Those Alec speakers sounded pretty good, as did your mighty mites. Some ratty Dyna speakers. Some interesting homemade tube amps.

I bought a couple of tubes (not many audio tubes in evidence tho) and some knobs. Probably spent more on food than on gear.

Anyway, thanks for posting this. Not sure it was worth the drive from CT, but a good time nevertheless.
