Dynaco A25: anyone ever try removing stuffing from behind woofer?

Just curious if anybody has ever experimented with removing the stuffing behind the 10" woofer in the Dynaco A-25. If so, does it do anything to liven up the speaker or improve the midrange? How would you describe the sonic results of this modification?
