I would use the original Fisher wood component cabinets as a guide. These cabinets have fairly large open cutout areas on each side of the bottom of the cabinet with an intact center line support running front to back. I would also recommend that you position a small fan just behind the unit to blow air across the output tubes and to help ventilate the cabinet. Properly ventilated, with a fan, you will easily double or triple the life of the tubes and the other components. The amplifier will run even cooler if you use a variac and limit the AC voltage to 110VAC.
