I have the 2105 that is the metered version and I get no hiss from it. 1st make sure it is form the amp. Disconnect the input and turn the amp on and turn the level controls full up see if it is full quite. Also, try it with a set of shorting plugs and see if there is a difference. If not hiss, then it is not the amp. Remember these amps are 30+ years old and probably time for some tlc; especially the caps.
