Re: Warfedale super 12 as/al woofer

The Wharfedale was often the driver of choice for the RJ enclosure.

The RJ provided resistive loading on the cone - the felt surround was pretty floppy - so you got reasonable bass extension from a smallish enclosure.

This was back when hobbyists would pick a driver and either build their own boxes or buy a separate box for the elements.

Wharfedale's importer loved the RJ, and almost made a deal to distribute them along with the drivers, but the AR appeared and trounced them in the marketplace.
