I searched the web and found only a few suppliers, that the stuff is relatively expensive (more expensive than a good paint), and that it takes numerous coats. But the sellers surely say that it is wonderful, and I suppose I'll give it a try.

Looks like there are three kinds of tung oil, a light kind, a dark kind, and Formby's (which actually doesn't contain tung oil). Also, found that there is no agreed on definition of 'teak oil', and that these are often based on tung oil. Who's had good results doing what with which? How much should I buy to do a set of speakers (Say 12 sq feet times 3 coats applied by rag?)?
