Re: Boy, are the FleaBay scams getting Heavy

I've been similarly scammed (a couple of years ago) - an item I had sold a few weeks before was listed by a scammer - all my photos and description totally plagiarized. I emailed and called ebay, emailed the bogus seller, and it still took them two days to get the thing removed.

The only way I found out about it was other people who saw it emailed me and said, 'hey, isn't that your amp there?'

They remembered the listing and found me easily because of the small market for the item - the exact reason the scammer can so easily damage your reputation in addition to hosing some poor unsuspecting buyer...

Caveat Emptor - more than ever. I find myself leaning toward the local CL for some things now to avoid scammers and the tyranny of the feedback rating...
